Have Projects around the house you really need done? Let us help!
Mission Possible, based out of the United Methodist Church at Shrub Oak, is a group of people excited to volunteer our time to help you! As a youth-based mission, our teams consist of volunteers of all ages interested in making a difference in their community.
Usually, during a one-day service in both the fall and spring seasons, we take applications for minor home repairs (not electrical or plumbing), landscaping and gardening, small odd jobs, etc. During our one-day event, a small team would come to your home to tackle these jobs! Your application will be reviewed thoroughly to determine if the work is within our capacity. Working hand in hand with the homeowner, on the day of these events we will go to each work site to fulfill the requests. As a volunteer group we are incapable of taking on projects that need to be performed by a licensed professional. We welcome service requests for repairs, painting, yard work, minor demolition, etc. In the past, we offered a “Raking of the Leaves” event. We will announce the dates for future projects. Stay tuned.
We maintain the right to decline applications for any work we cannot accomplish.
Kindly check this page occasionally for applications covering requests for the fall session. Those will also be available at the Senior Center in Cortlandt Manor, local libraries or online at the links below to anyone interested in volunteering. Youth volunteers are required to be of High School Freshman year or older. We accept applications on a first come/first approved basis.
